Obituary of Lorne Alvin Mullen

March 30th, 1944 - December 2nd, 2019 of Strathmore, Calgary, Banff

It is with great sadness that we, Lorne’s family, wife Elaine, sons Shawn (Donna), Cary (Kristina), daughter Blais (Duane) and their children along with his brother Bruce (Verna) and families, announce his passing.

He is also survived by many tight knit brothers and sisters in law as well as his nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved his extended family.

We are grateful for having him as our guiding ship and mentor for so many years. Lorne has influenced many students and adults in his life as a teacher, principal, farmer and entrepreneur. 

He was a “jock” and loved outdoor life, especially snow and waterskiing, motorbiking, jogging and cycling. Recently, he has enjoyed escaping the winter, walking on the beaches of Puerto Escondido, Mexico lapping up the soothing sound of the ocean and the warmth of the sun.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore) at 2:00 p.m.
