Obituary of Thomas Craig HASTIE

HASTIE, Thomas Craig Thomas Craig Hastie passed away on December 6, 2016 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 75 with his family at his side. He was born December 2, 1941 at the family farm near Trochu, Alberta. He is predeceased by his wife Marilyn Hastie, his mother and father, William and Mary Hastie, his sister Norma Bondar, brothers Ken, Allan and Bruce. He leaves behind his daughters Carole Sawyer (Doug), Jeanette Thomas (Darcey), and Colleen Sharp (Mark); grandchildren Braden (Kelly) and Brittany Sawyer, Tricia and Reid Thomas, Jesse (Victoria), Katelyn and Sydney Sharp; and numerous nieces and nephews. He lived his life enjoying time with his family, curling, playing and watching baseball, fishing and with a deck of cards close at hand. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Wheatland Funeral Chapel (Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (#200, 119-14th St. N.W., Calgary, T2N 1Z6).
