Obituary of Florence Irene Keeling

Irene passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020.  She has gone to join her daughter Janice and her husband John.  She was also predeceased by her sister Eva and brothers Bill and Jimmy and her parents William and Stella Harwood.  She will be greatly missed by her son Wayne (Terri); grandson Garner (Nicole) and Jesse and Eva; grandson Doug (Jennifer) and Alexandra, Emmeline, and Malcolm; grandson Steven; granddaughter Tracy (Brian) and Kayla and Hannah; great great granddaughters Jolene and Jaclyn.  She is also survived by sisters Betty, Shirley and Lorna; a brother Doug; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Living in Strathmore all her life, Irene was a big part of the community.  She was a member of the Anglican Church, the Strathmore Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Eastern Star.  Family was very important to Irene and she always kept in touch with all of them.  Throughout the years, Irene always worried about everyone else before herself.  Her loving spirit will live on in all she touched. 

Special thanks go out to Sandra and the caregivers at Sagewood for their excellent care and also to Ann and Marty for their many visits.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
