Obituary of Graydon Donald GILES

GILES, Rev. Dr. Graydon D. 1935 – 2016 On Friday, November 4, 2016 we lost a beautiful soul, our dad, Graydon Giles. He left this world in peace and in anticipation of being reunited with his daughter, Esther and other family members who have gone on before to his home in glory, a place which he spent many years sharing about with others. Dad’s passion in life was teaching and preaching from God’s word. He enjoyed many years of ministry in Newfoundland and Alberta. Dad spent his time evangelizing across Canada and the United States between Bible College semesters and during his retirement. Dad left this world surrounded by his family who will always carry his memory in their hearts. Forever missed by all who loved him, including his wife of 60 years, Norma, his sons Paul (Roxann) and Mark (Pauline), his six grandchildren Jamie (Nicole), Justin, Brandon, Robin, Kayla (Cody) and Dylan (Erin), his 11 great grandchildren, his siblings, many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Dad, we were truly blessed to have you in our lives. We will miss your terrible jokes and we will do our part to continue the tradition of making sure our homes are fully equipped with stacks of books. You will never know how much you will be missed, and how broken our hearts are, but, we know that you are home in heaven. We will be saying “goodbye for now” with a visitation at Wheatland Funeral Home (202 Lakeside Blvd., Strathmore, Alberta) on Wednesday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m., a Home Going service at 3 p.m. followed immediately by a graveside farewell.
