Carol Rampersaud

Obituary of Carol Janet Rampersaud

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Carol Janet Rampersaud on Sunday March 22, 2020 at the age of 67. She battled ovarian cancer 4 years ago and unfortunately the cancer returned and her life was suddenly taken by God. Her final moments were spent in the arms of her cherished husband Cecil.

Carol was born in Peterborough, Ontario on December 23, 1952 , then moved to Toronto where she had met the love of her life Cecil Rampersaud. They were married at St.Peter’s Cathedral in Peterborough on August 23,1975, then moved to Alberta in 1979. Carol and Cecil have been married for 44 years.

Carol is survived by her husband Cecil, sons David, Raymond, Robert, daughter Amanda, grandchildren Jordan, Dylan, Miranda, Hannah, and Jairo, sisters Karen Vince, Sue Freeman, and her brother John Witzell. She is predeceased by her mother Effie Scott, father William Witzell, and her brother Bob Witzell.

Our beautiful lady was loved dearly by many people. She made friends everywhere she went and her extremely loving and generous soul will always be remembered. A creative mind with a vibrant heart, Carol absolutely loved her crafts and cross stitching, then giving them to friends and family because she was just that thoughtful and kind. She also loved doing her word search puzzles, preparing her mother’s recipes for her family, watching all her favorite crime shows, and traveling to the Caribbean.

Her top priorities were her family, friends and ensuring she was always there for everyone. Carol was also an adored member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 , Strathmore, AB.

Even though we will forever love and miss our Carol, she has now entered God’s Kingdom where she will be reunited with the rest of her family.

Unfortunately Carol’s Celebration Of Life will be postponed due to the current pandemic, and will take place once it is safe to do so.
