Obituary of Gilbert Leo Joseph Pulvermacher

Gilbert passed away peacefully the morning of March 24 in Strathmore Hospital at the age of 85 years with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Gilbert will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 62 years, Beverley; his children Steven (Lisa), Debra, and Scott (Rosemary); his grandchildren Christopher (Mandi), Dale, Jonathan, Andrew, Megan, Hayden, and Mathias; his great grandchildren Lily, Blu, Piper, Michael, and Josephine; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Gilbert was predeceased by his son Michael. Gilbert began his life as the youngest son of John Leo and Mary May Pulvermacher with brothers Norbert, Roman, Raymond and Wilford, and sisters Lucille, Marie and Claudia (all predeceased) in Bruno, Saskatchewan.  He married on June 3, 1957 and raised 4 children while owning and operating a successful business in the Graphic Arts Industry. The family home was in Calgary, Alberta until his move to Strathmore a year prior to his passing. Gilbert was a hard-working businessman whose sole focus was on his wife and family. When time allowed, he enjoyed camping and any other outdoor activities that he could do with his family.
