Obituary of Jeanette Caroline Helfrich

Jeanette Caroline Helfrich passed away on June 3, 2020 at Calgary, AB at the age of 80.  She was born in Strathmore, AB on October 22, 1939 to Frank & Viola Kuyten of Rockyford, AB.

Throughout her life, Jeanette had a love of horses, rodeo, pony chariot races and chuckwagon racing.  She loved to bet on the races and was very good at picking the winning drivers.  She really enjoyed her many trips around the world until her mobility prevented her from travelling.

She is survived by her three sons; Calvin (Liz), Dean (Kristine) and Darren.  Jeanette dearly loved her grandchildren; Devon, Cameron, Courtney, Reece, Kyle and Ty and they all loved their Nana Jan.  She is also survived by her brother Allan, Uncle Norman & Aunt Connie along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her companion, Bill Skinner.

Jeanette was predeceased by her parents and brother, Francis.  There will be a Celebration of Jeanette’s Life at a later date which will be announced.

The Family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the all the Management and Staff at the Wheatland Lodge for their care of Jeanette for the last three years.
