Obituary of Moira Jean Pavcek

It is with enormous heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Moira Pavcek (nee Livingstone). Mom/Gramma/Nana passed away with family by her side June 14th, 2020 at the Strathmore Hospital. She courageously and resiliently battled cancer for 14 years. Moira was born in Lacombe, Alberta in 1944; living in Alix, AB, in her younger years then happily spent the rest of her life in Strathmore. In 1967 she married the love of her life, Andy, and had 2 children: Andrea and Alex. For nearly the past 40 years until just a short time ago, Moira worked for Dr. Terry Procyshen at Wellness Within in Strathmore. She truly loved her career and everyone she worked with as well as all their clients!

Moira is survived by her loving children, Andrea (Matthew), Alex (Cari), son-in-law David Johnston (Tammy); her grandchildren, Porcia (Corey), Clayton (Kalie), Zachary, Julianna, Tianna and Brooklyn. She was pre-deceased by her husband Andy, mother Isabelle, father Jack and sister Bonnie.

A sincere thank you to the amazing team in Acute Care at the Strathmore Hospital as well as Dr. Matt Pyatt at Pyatt Health Centre and Dr. Dean Ruether at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. A private family internment will be held Friday June 19th and a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
