Obituary of Jonathan Robert SOBOL

SOBOL, Jonathan Robert It is with grieving and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jonathan Robert Sobol, age 33. Jon was taken from us in a tragic collision on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 near Irricana, Alberta. As an Executive Chef (Starbelly Restaurant), son, brother, uncle, nephew, mentor and friend, Jon possessed amazing skills, inspiration, a love of life and the ability to be a person everyone wanted to be around. He will be so badly missed, but never forgotten. Jon leaves to mourn his partner and true love, Katelin Bland, his parents Bob and Gina Sobol, his sister Denise (Ryan) along with his favourite niece and nephew Aryn and Lucas, his baby brother Tom, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends and colleagues. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd. Strathmore) at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Peterson officiating. Jon’s special project, at the time of his passing, was to raise funds for the Calgary Health Trust in an effort to move the South Campus Community Garden forward.
