Obituary of Carl Grant Jones

Our family is devastated to announce the passing of an incredible man.  Our Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa passed away on his favorite day, July 4^th, 2020 in High River Hospital.  Carl Grant Jones was born in hospital in Arrowwood Alberta on November 29, 1941. He grew up on the family farm, of which in recent years, he had moved back to and made home again with his wife Jean.  He lived most of his life in Alberta, with a small stint in Saskatchewan. He is leaving behind, his heartbroken family, Wife Jean, Son Sheldon, Daughter Tamra (Travis), his grandchildren Ethan (Jessie), Selinah (John), Makenzie, Payton, Corbyn and Denim.  He has also left behind 3 beautiful great grandchildren, Rumor, Ana and Cairo.  He missed meeting two new great grandbabies to come this fall.  He was predeceased by his Dad Paul, his Mom Laura, brothers Lloyd and Kenneth , and sisters Arlene and Doreen.  How to list the things important to this man? Family.  His farm with all its animals.  His motorbike.  He loved to read….and he loved his Lord, which is who he is with now.  Due to covid 19’s limited numbers, there will be a private viewing, internment and funeral service by invite only.  All are invited to view the live stream video of Carl’s funeral service which will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society in honor of him.  We will miss you.
