Obituary of Stanley Wilfred HUNTLEY

HUNTLEY, Stanley Wilfred March 30, 1950 – August 1, 2016 Stanley Huntley of Lyalta, Alberta passed away peacefully at home with his girls by his side. Stan The Man will be greatly missed by his daughters Kimberley (Patrick) Proust and Laura (Bill) Elliott; grandchildren Elizabeth, Jackson, Quynn and Zander; sister Glenda; Brother Max (Laurie); nephews Brad (Krista) and Jeff (Sheena); and loving companion Rosie Fellowes. Stan is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Mattie. Stan had a huge passion for the game, be it volleyball, baseball, broomball, basketball or trapshooting. He had a larger than life presence and was always the life of the party and he loved to have fun. He had a carefree attitude and very kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back. Stan was an amazing father to his girls and was so proud of his grandkids. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, bright blue eyes, quick wit and contagious laugh. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd.) at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the Strathmore Home Care (200 Brent Blvd., Strathmore, T1P 1J9) or Cancer Research at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (1331 – 29, St. N.W., Calgary, T2N 4N2).
