Obituary of Emily Marie Schumann

July 24, 2020 at 7:17 a.m. the sweetest girl in the whole wide world passed away. Emily passed away in her mom’s arms, the place she found the most comfort, safety and love her whole life.

October 17, 2001 at 7:17 a.m. Emily Marie Schumann was born and given 2 years to live. Emily surpassed that two-year mark and was with us for 18 of the toughest fought, blessed years. She is our fighter who taught us to live each day and never take 1 minute or 1 breath for granted.

July 24, 2020 our lives were forever changed, the sunshine of our hearts no longer shines. Emily was the best part of our day and the one who taught us what unconditional love feels like. There are no words to describe the loss and emptiness our family feels. To say we loved her is more than an understatement as there is no way to measure the amount of love that little girl gave or received as numbers just aren't high enough.

Someone so little left such a huge hole in our lives that will never be filled. Anyone whomever met Emily and got to know her walked away a changed person. She is truly the purest of heart and all that was right in our world. Emily leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and understanding. Emily was able to turn your worst day into the best day with one little smile. She embodies what the purest love is.

She is preceeded in death by her Grandparents Calvin Henrikson and Linda Apfel. She leaves behind her Parents Amalia (Molly) & Christopher Thompson Sisters- Katherine Schumann, Alissa Schumann, Baylee Schumann, Alexandra Thompson and Kayla Thompson, Grandparents Victor & Nelida (Lynn)Thompson, Uncles & Aunts Frank Henrikson, Peter & Shannon Henrikson, Matthew & Michelle Henrikson, Nelida (Nita) & Dean Smith, Cousins- Hannah Henrikson, Camille Henrikson, Peter Henrikson, Alexandria Henrikson, Eliana Henrikson, Jonah Henrikson, Nelida (Rae-Lyn) Thompson, Christine Smith and countless other family and friends.

Rest in peace my sweet angel.  Mama, Daddy and Sisters miss you and will love you forever..

Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. We never left you behind in life and we will never forget you in death.  Love you, love you, love you my boo boos Mama will see you when I get home.
