Obituary of Dorothy Claudette PETTIFER

PETTIFER, Dorothy 1940 – 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we share that Dorothy Pettifer passed away peacefully at the Strathmore Hospital on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the age of 76 years. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Ken; children Eddie (Rick), Clayton (Diane), and Shelly; grandchildren Devon, Michael, Tyler, Austin, Madeline, Montana, Liam, Ryan, Derrick, and Breanne; great-grandchildren Dion, Silas, Cayden, and Ella; brothers Joe, Bill, Walter, and John; and sisters Diane and Dawn. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Gerald & Beatrice (Cote) Brown; brothers Robert and Lloyd; sister Barbara; and Grandson Zachary Lamb. Dorothy was a fiercely strong, independent woman who lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her quick wit, love of nature and infectious laugh. Special thanks to the endless hours of care given by Dr. Fanning, and his wonderful nurse Michelle Brown at The Valley Medical Centre. Also thank you to Dorothy’s physiotherapist Loretta Keegan as well as the staff at Strathmore Hospital.
