Obituary of Florence Arlene BRANDT

BRANDT, Florence Arlene October 4, 1943 – May 15, 2016 Arlene was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Arlene passed away peacefully on May 15, 2016 in hospital in Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and parents Len and Florence Wathen. Arlene is survived by son Ryan Brandt (Melanie), grandson Peter, and daughter Echo Brandt (Craig), all of Strathmore. Sister Ferne Schaufert of High River and brother Rick Wathen, of Strathmore. Arlene and her family moved back to Strathmore in 1979 after her husband passed away in November 1978. She studied nursing at SAIT school of nursing and worked at Calgary General Hospital. She served in various clubs including Order of the Eastern Star and the Royal Purple and volunteered in many ways over the years. At her wishes there will be no funeral. She will be buried at the Strathmore cemetery.
