Obituary of Kathy Mork

Our dear friend Kathy fought a short but courageous battle with cancer. On October 1 that battle came to an end. Kathy had beaten breast cancer and enjoyed her time with joy and gusto. She had a deep passion for animals and volunteered her time and her home to the Happy Cat Sanctuary. She enjoyed being a mom to kittens in need and loved them until they found their forever home. Kathy was a horsewoman. She enjoyed riding horses that would terrify normal people. Her calm empathy would transmit itself to the most nervous of animals and put them at ease.

Kathy was a fine friend and a thoroughly decent human being whose light and laughter will be sorely missed by those family and friends who received the gift of her presence. Sadly, she was predeceased by her one true love, Vaughn, in 2019. I’m sure that the two of them are reunited in the way only special people can be. Our hearts can be glad that they are reunited in peace. No service will be held at her request. Donations in Kathy’s memory may be made directly to the Happy Cat Sanctuary at happycatsanctuary.net.
