Obituary of Annie Ellen McLAUCHLIN

McLAUCHLIN, Annie Ellen June 30, 1920 – March 15, 2016 Annie passed away on March 15, 2016 at the age of ninety-five years. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who enjoyed the company of others. Annie will be dearly missed by her son, Melvin (Susan); daughter in law Joan; grandchildren Paul (Melinda), John (Kim), Robb (Kerri Ann), and Jennifer (Paul); 8 great-grandchildren; sister Florence; brother Rod (Olive); and sisters-in-law Alvine, Carol, and Lorraine;. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Leon in 1999; son Larry; grandson Earl; sisters Donalda and Isabelle; and step-brother George. Annie and Leon were married in 1940. They started farming in Strathmore in 1953 until they moved into town in 1966. Annie’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Sagewood Senior’s Community for the exceptional care provided to her. Donations in Annie’s name may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation (#200, 119-14 St. N.W., Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1Z6). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lord of All Lutheran Church (112 Lakeside Blvd., Strathmore) at 12:00 p.m. with inurnment at Strathmore Cemetery.
