I remember writing her 'Remembering Our Roots' article that was published in The Times on April 6th, 2018. What a history she provided.

My sincere sympathy to all Marie Louises family on the loss of your mother. She was a lovely person, so caring and enjoyable to be with.
We worked at many C.W.L. events together, preparing the food and serving it. It was always a fun time even with the work it entailed. I miss those times, and I am sure that you, as a family, can recall many experiences that she was part of that bring laughs as well as tears to your eyes.

I was very sad to hear about Mary Louise passing. She was such a delightful happy lady. I recall visiting with her often during her stay in the lodge.
I remember as a young child going to Bill and Mary Louise’s the night the neighbours chivereed them. I didn’t understand this whole process and I remember thinking how cruel it was.
I will remember Mary Louise for her dedication to family and neighbours. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.
May she Rest In Peace and my God give her family strength to carry on with their journey of life.

Auntie Louise always had a smile on her face and the time to sit down and have a good chat. She was so easy to talk to. As a teenager, I remember Auntie Louise packing up the family and driving to our farm in Okotoks on New Year's Day to celebrate the New Year. It was a day of fun, food and games! I will miss her. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs to all of the family.

Our deepest sympathies to all the family of Marie Louise. Bill and Marie Louise were wonderful neighbors and friends. I remember when I was a member of the Pins and Needles 4-H club and Marie Louise was always there to lend a hand or to think up fun things to do for activities. Somehow during one of these activities I ended up in a monkey suit for a playt...Hmmmm. She thought it was funny. Rest easy strong woman of faith, strong leader in the community and strong mother of her family. She and Bill have left behind a great legacy in their family.

Marie Louise will always hold the fondest of memories for our family. She was a true friend to our mom and I won't forget the short phone conversations. LOL. In our house if Mrs. Praeker said something then it was gospel. Her faith and hard work and ability to always still be smiling while raising a large family is a testament to the special and loving woman she was. Rest in peace Marie Louise. Have a piece of birthday cake with mom today and you'll have lots of time to catch up and no rush to milk the cows. Growing up in Strathmore, I remember Mrs. Praeker as Ron & Theresa’s Mom and a devoted member of our Sacred Heart Parish. After moving away; I had the pleasure of getting to know her as an adult when Jack and I would attend Barb & Herman’s family celebrations.
