Obituary of Ronald Alfred COLE

COLE, Ronald Alfred Ronald Alfred Cole, of Strathmore Alberta, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Strathmore Hospital. He was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on March 26, 1944 to Margaret and Alfred Cole of Coleville, Saskatchewan. Ron lived most of his life in Coleville running the family farm. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, having a passion for hunting, fishing and camping in the northern lakes of Saskatchewan. He always had a good fishing story or tale. Ron was involved with the Lions Club in Kindersley and worked his way up to District Governor. As District Governor, he enjoyed traveling to different clubs and meeting new people who soon became lifetime friends. He enjoyed a good party with home cooked food, drink and especially dancing. In his spare time he liked watching sports, playing card games, his favourite being rummy, and spending time visiting family and friends. Ron’s big heart, smile and sense of humour will be greatly missed. Ron is survived by his daughter Cheryl Churchill (Henryk Matuszek); grandchildren Tyler and Adam Churchill; son Mike Cole and family; and sisters Linda Miller and Joan Adair. A special thank you to Sagewood Long Term Care for their care and support during Dad’s stay, to Strathmore Hospital for assisting in his comfort care, and Wheatland Funeral Home for helping with all the arrangements.
