Norma and I go back many years, having started grade one together and spending many an hour after school in one another's presence. I envied her having four siblings while I was basically an only child and had to be content with being many years younger than me and hence the only one still at home. She was also much more vivacious, smarter and fearless than I.
Her parents was always willing to have me accompany them on outings ; one being to Norma's aunts home in Rockyford where they had a stream running nearby their home and of course we wanted to go into this body of water. Not too long after entering the water, I was in a spot where I could not touch bottom and I panicked. Bravely Norma; having taken swim lessons at a summer camp, swam towards me and was able to pull me out of this troublesome spot. As I told her many times, she saved my life. She was a caring wife and mother. having inherited these qualities from her mother who always had family as her first priority. Clark passed away at an early age, Norma at his side through it all. She didn't stop there, being a true 'people person', gave her time being a caregiver in the Strathmore Hospital.
We are thankful that she didn't have to spend much time living as a patient with the diagnosis she was given on Jan. 9th/2020. She was more definitely more attuned to giving than receiving.

My sincere condolences to all. I have special memories of growing up next door to the Christensen’s in Cheadle. Norma was a special lady who raised a wonderful family along with her husband Clark. RIP Norma and say hi to Clark from me.

Ed and I offer our sincerest condolences to all the Bragg family and to Aunt Norma's own Christensen family. Ed and I visited Standard occasionally for family events and each time Aunt Norma brought a bright light of joy and warmth to the occasion.
When our two boys were out of the house to pursue their education, we decided to move to Standard from Chestermere. For Ed this was a natural and easy transition as he already knew so many people from spending many summer holidays with his relatives here. For me, it was harder to come to a small community and find a way to engage with the community and feel at home. But Aunt Norma was a key component for me to not only feel welcome, but to make me feel as if I had always lived here. When thinking of her now, Aunt Norma had a special gift - she had a colourful beam of sunshine that was ever present when she was around. I can't put into words how special Aunt Norma was to me, but definitely God has gained a stunning array of colourful light in Heaven. May you be back enjoying golf with Uncle Clark and others, and know that we all will dearly miss your ray of sunshine here in Standard. Cathy and Ed Christensen

I was saddened to learn of Norma's passing and offer sincere sympathy to her family. I first met Norma in the early l960s when I, as a UAC student (University of Alberta at Calgary), I was fortunate indeed to have room and board with the ever boisterous Braggs!. When they all arrived from various points of the compass for dinner at mother Rachael's house, it was a joyful noise and Norma added her fair share to the pandemonium! Long may her memory live on.

Our sympathy to the Christensen and Bragg families. I remember living next to Christensens and playing with Jacci and Sharon. Norma was training at the old Drumheller Hospital when I was there one day with my daughter. We visited and caught up on what we’d each had been doing since I left Standard. She was so happy and excited to find out everything. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. She is at peace now and watching over her family. Our thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time.

Norma was one of my first friends when we moved to Standard in 1966. Later I had the privilege of working with her at the bank. It was never a dull moment. We had so many good times. It was a few years ago that I saw her at Sagewood and it felt like old times- we picked up where we had left off years ago. Our condolences to the family.

I was so lucky to have worked with Norma, she was so kind and caring. After her retirement we had many visits around town, she was always quick to ask about the kids and our family. She was a beautiful soul. Rest easy friend, you will be missed
