Obituary of Bonnie Gail HARRIS

HARRIS, Bonnie Gail It is with heavy hearts that the Harris family announce the passing of their sister and daughter, Bonnie Gail Harris. Bonnie passed away after a long battle with cancer. Bonnie was born at the General Hospital in Calgary on Nov. 5, 1953. She was the middle child of a family of nine kids born to Margaret and Raymond Harris. She leaves behind her mom Margaret Harris and sisters and brothers Trudy (Norbert) Kondla, Linda (Al) Curwin, Raymond (Sue) Harris, Fred (Karin) Harris, Debbie (Gary) Esligar, Wendy Harris, Candy (Keith) Turly, Sandy (Denise) Harris and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was only 62 but had touched many people with her love for animals and the love of teaching children and adults alike how to ride. No matter how big or how small she had no problem taking in abused animals and giving them the love that they needed to recover and get them back out to loving people. Bonnie was the happiest when she was outside working with the animals. She asked very little of people and seldom asked for help but would drop everything that she was doing to help someone else. We don’t find many people like her anymore and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at Wheatland Funeral Chapel (Strathmore) at 2:00 p.m. Coffee to follow at the Standard Senior’s Center, Standard, AB.
