Obituary of Nona June KIRBY

KIRBY, Nona June With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Nona June Kirby on November 29, 2015. Nona was born 8 June, 1934 in Orkney, Saskatchewan to Krist and Hilda Gjertsen. She moved to Alberta and married Gordon Kirby in Grande Prairie and they had two children Cheryl and Chris. Nona is pre-deceased by her husband Gordon and her daughter Cheryl. Her memory lives on in her son Chris along with his wife Pam and their children Shaun and Carla; two grandchildren from her daughter Cheryl, Amanda and Stephen; and four great grandchildren from Shaun and his wife Tiffany. Nona enjoyed many activities during her life but in recent years her time was spent making wonderful quilts that were enjoyed by many friends and family members. She always had time to help others and to share her unique perspectives and opinions on any subject. She will be missed by many.
