Obituary of Ingrid Tornvig
Ingrid Tornvig passed peacefully on January 14, 2021. She was adored and loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Ingrid was born in Denmark and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1957. Ingrid lived in Medicine Hat for over 30 years before moving to Strathmore 4 years ago. Ingrid was an avid crafter, knitting guru and crochet expert. She enjoyed helping people and volunteered her time while living in Medicine Hat.
Ingrid is survived by her 5 children, Sylvia Duff, Leif-Erik Slyk, Vera Ellefson, Alf Slyk, Rick Slyk; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; as well as sister, Lis Tornvig Nielsen of Denmark. She was predeceased by one daughter, Yvonne Slyk.
A private family memorial to celebrate Ingrid's life, will be held at a later date when Covid conditions permit.
