Obituary of Elsie May MORRIS

MORRIS, Elsie May April 25, 1943 – October 21, 2015 Elsie Morris passed away at 4:19 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21 at the age of 72 years with her daughter and grand-daughter by her side after a brave, but short, battle with cancer. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Steve; her daughters Desiree and Belinda; son-in-laws Ken and Darin; grandchildren Kiefer and Keaton, Rebecca, Kirsten, and Connor; and her sister Gladys, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her beloved dachshund Clementine. Elsie will be remembered for her selfless and giving nature and all the lives she touched. After raising her family, she went on to work at the YWCA for 20 years working with children, many of them with special needs, at the daycare. She was a favorite with many for her loving nature and special cuddles. Elsie recently moved to Strathmore in the summer to be close to family as her first love was her grandchildren. Unfortunately, due to her health, she was unable to fully enjoy her new home. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Wheatland Funeral Home at 10:30 followed by a graveside service at Strathmore Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, there will be a gathering at the clubhouse at 24 Strathmore Lakes Bay at 2:00 p.m. To send condolences, please click the link below.
