Obituary of Ellen Elizabeth Lindberg

Ellen Elizabeth Lindberg (nee; Moore), 84, of Strathmore, Alberta, passed away on February 11, 2021.  She was predeceased by her husband Charles Lindberg on November 11, 2020.

Ellen was born and raised in Jonquiere, Quebec as an only child to Thomas William Moore and Mary Johnstone Stewart Moore. Her parents lovingly contributed to the upbringing of many other children throughout their lives, and as a result Ellen had a large extended family.

Ellen came to appreciate the spiritual truths held in the Bible. On September 3rd, 1960, Ellen was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. 

She met Charles Lindberg; a young special pioneer minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses assigned to Jonquiere. Ellen would accompany him in the ministry and help him communicate in French as she was fluent.  They were married July 22, 1961 and lived in Wetaskiwin Alberta, where they raised a family of three children: Maryanne Lindberg (Cam Landrie), Hazen Lindberg (Sahodra) and Lorinda Weissig (Charles). They also had an active part in the lives of their grandchildren and great grandchild; Alexandra Hurtado (Nestor, and Great Grandson Daniel Hurtado), Paris Grover, Rielle Grover, Benjamin Lindberg, Nathan Lindberg, Brooklyn Weissig, Abram Weissig, Brontë Dickson (Calvin).   

Ellen suffered poor health, but greatly appreciated the care she received by the staff at AgeCare Sagewood in Strathmore.  Always optimistic, as she knew it would only be a little while longer until her problems would be resolved by God's Kingdom (Isa 33:24 - And no resident will say: “I am sick.”). Motivated by her close relationship with her God, Jehovah, Ellen also had an unshakeable belief in the resurrection hope as described in the Bible at John 5:28, 29.

A Zoom memorial service for Ellen will be held Sunday February 28, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Mtn time.  All who knew Ellen are invited to tune in.
