Obituary of Lyle Henry FRIESEN

FRIESEN, Lyle Henry December 15, 1951 – Melfort, Saskatchewan September 30, 2017 – Stirling, Alberta It is with a heavy heart that we say good bye to Lyle Henry Friesen. Lyle was a commercial truck driver for over 50 years, where his greatest pride was to deliver safely and on time. Lyle and his wife, Donna built their own piece of heaven in Stirling, Alberta in 2003. Lyle had a deep respect for the land and loved watching their forest grow. You would often see Lyle puttering around the farm with his four legged friends following behind him. His family and friends loved him for his personality; he was a man of few words, with a strong sense of humor. He was generous with those he loved. Lyle leaves behind his wife, Donna Stinn Friesen; daughter, Sheena Chaffee and granddaughter, Rhiannon; stepdaughter, Jessica (Alex) Popp and grandchildren, Hayden, Avery and Graesen; stepdaughter, Abby (Randy) Heck and grandchildren, Nora and Sullivan; stepdaughter, Kelsey Stinn; Stepson, Tyrell (Lisa) Stinn; sister, Gloria (Robert) Worley and mother-in-law, Delores Massey. In heaven, he is comforted by his parents, Jean and Henry Friesen; father-in-law, Ed Massey; brother-in-law, Wayne William Zipp; as well as his three young sons. A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert McClure United Church, 5510 -26 Ave N.E. Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Strathmore Cemetery, Strathmore, Alberta.
