Obituary of Florence Rose Spence

Flo was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all sports and played fastball, curling, and golfed. She became involved in the community when she and Angus retired to Strathmore in 1978. Flo loved the mountains and her Irish heritage and cared deeply for her family and friends. Watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play and excel in sports, dance, and music became one of her greatest joys in later years.

Flo was predeceased by her husband Angus; son-in-law Peter; and great-granddaughter Bailey. She is survived by her children Trevor (Janet) of Halifax, NS, Trent, Sandy (Doug), Rose (John), Debbie, Ty (Dawn) of Kelowna, BC, and Todd of Edmonton, AB; twelve grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her loving sister Vi; and many nieces and nephews. She has left a huge void in so many hearts.

The family wish to thank her “dream team” on Rockyford floor at Sagewood for their loving care and support during Flo’s residency and Dr. Young for his kindness and care; we will forever be grateful.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
