PENNER, Darren Edward

Darren Edward Penner, aged 46, passed away in Calgary on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Darren was born in Taber, Alberta. He had, throughout his life, resided in Taber, Lethbridge, Warner, Picture Butte, Edmonton, Cold Lake, Suffield, Calgary and Strathmore. He graduated at the U of A, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He worked in computer programming for many Calgary companies and developed a network of many friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased by his grandparents, David, Louise, Hazel, and Alex. He is survived by his parents, Ed (Corney) & Diane, his brothers, Wade & Curtis, sister-in-law Sharon and special niece Kendra. He has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and second cousins living throughout Alberta and BC. Special thanks to staff and doctors at Strathmore Health Centre and Foothills Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be kindly sent directly to Calgary Telus Sparks Science Centre (220 St. George’s Drive NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 5T2 or https://give.sparkscience.ca) which was Darren’s favourite place. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Lord of All Lutheran Church (112 Lakeside Blvd. Strathmore) at 1:30 p.m. Interment Strathmore Cemetery.
