Obituary of Taya Lynn Walker

After a long and courageous fight with MS and its related health issues, Taya succumbed and passed away suddenly on July 11, 2021.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Lynn as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends; Shamus will miss her daily calls. 

Taya was one who knew what she wanted in life and did what was within her limits to achieve it. Her motto was “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”, which she constantly did.  Taya had a great love for animals and remembered people and situations not by their names but by the name of the animal associated with them.  She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Taya was predeceased by her brother Travis (2013) and father Rick (2013). 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (110 Quarry Park Blvd., Calgary, AB, T2C 4P5 or www.mssociety.ca).
