Obituary of Lee Victor Penrod
The family of Lee Victor Penrod is devastated to announce his sudden passing on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Lethbridge, AB.
Lee is survived by his five beautiful children: Mykala (Taylor) granddaughter Jhessie-Anne; Alexis (Mike); Kiara; Wyatt and Owen and the mother of his children, Francine Penrod. Also mourning his passing are his parents Bill and Vicki Penrod; brother Shylo (Gwen) (Tyson, Cheyenna, Colton and Brooke); sister Stacy Bramble (Matthew and Sierra), many cousins and aunts and uncles.
Lee was predeceased by his grandparents Vern and Lucille Penrod, Victor and Annie Stapleton, father-in-law Peter Mainzer, uncle Lyle Penrod and cousins Nolan Dube and Larry Penrod.
Lee was born in Calgary, AB and grew up and attended school in Strathmore, Alberta. Growing up Lee had a love of hockey, fast cars, fishing and watersports. Lee loved to make his friends and family laugh with his many jokes, silly antics and his ready to try anything once attitude - which was often encouraged by his older siblings to see how it would go for him first.
Lee surrounded himself with many friends growing up, who shared in his joy for life. Lee’s best friend Dirk became part of the family and had many adventures with him that his family will forever be grateful for. As Lee got older his love for cooking emerged and he furthered his education at SAIT in Calgary. After working in this career for awhile Lee found a new interest in the world of plumbing where he achieved his Journeyman ticket from Medicine Hat and Red Deer College. Lee had many accomplishments in life with his career and marriage, with the biggest being his five children who he loved very much.
Lee was always willing to give the shirt off his back and would go to the ends of the earth for his family and friends. Unfortunately for Lee, darkness danced on his doorstep, and he was unable to fight those demons. His family is choosing to remember Lee without the addiction and as the fun, loving, compassionate, young man he was. His family is saddened his life was taken way too young but have peace in knowing he has been set free.
A private memorial service is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made directly to:
Southern Alcare Manor (SAM) (520 7 St S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 2H1)
This is not good-bye, but until we see you again.
