Obituary of Connie Marie Stone
Connie Marie Stone, 67 years young of Strathmore, Alberta passed away peacefully on August 24th at 6:45pm in her home surrounded by family.
Connie was born July 2, 1954, in Taber Alberta, the daughter of late Scott and Lois Kinniburgh. Connie was the youngest daughter of 8 siblings that grew up on the family farm near Purple Springs, Alberta. She worked hard on the family business, Kinniburgh Spray Service through her youth which supported her to travel. On June 12th, 1976, she married her love, her rock, Craig Stone.
Connie was bit by the travel bug at the young age of 19 and has travelled the world often along-side Craig experiencing adventures of a lifetime together. Her greatest ambition in life was to create lasting memories with her family and to always be surrounded by goodness. Connie had such a special place in her heart for her Golf & Card Ladies.
She is survived by her loving husband Craig, son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Natalie Stone of Calgary; daughter Larissa Stone of Airdrie; daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Taufeeq Devilliers of Cape Town South Africa and her three beautiful grandchildren: Locklyn Stone, Luanda Jose and Amelia Stone who she adored every day. She lived for her grandkids.
She is also survived by her beautiful sisters and brothers; Laurie (pre-deceased) & Ted Sylvester of Penticton, Lynn & Art Young of Victoria, Brian & Shari Kinniburgh of Drumheller, Donna & Bob Wright of Coaldale, Bill Kinniburgh of Taber, Tom & Brenda (pre-deceased) Kinniburgh of Taber, and Cam & Charlene Kinniburgh of Cochrane. Connie is also survived by her loving in-laws Trudy & Fred Zimmer of Brooks and Linda & Tommy Cropper of Cochrane as well as all her nieces and nephews that she loves so dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore) at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch and visitation thereafter.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Wheatland Hospice Society at Box 2154 Strathmore, AB T1P 1K2.
