Obituary of George Leo Maynard
Leo Maynard, the Country Gentleman of Cluny, Alberta, beloved husband of Jeannie “Dolly” Maynard for 62 years, died peacefully on November 10, 2021.
Family man, friend, confidante, and mentor, his wisdom and gentle presence touched innumerable lives. Leo was personified by his smiling eyes, his love of all people, animals, and the prairies, his sense of humour, and a strong moral code.
Although impossible, to express the essence of Leo in a few short words:
Artist, Pilot, Hunter, Horseman, Wagon Boss, Competitive Cook, All-Round Handy Man, Storyteller, and Baby Whisperer are just a few of the many titles he held.
Rest in Peace, Old Cowboy, Thank You for all the beautiful memories. You are loved.
Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2022.
