Obituary of Shaun Matthew Baerwald
It is with great sorrow that we must announce the sudden, unexpected passing of our father, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Shaun was born in Calgary, AB and spent much of his life in the Calgary area calling Strathmore home. Although he faced many extreme challenges throughout his life, he met them with courage and resiliency. Shaun had a unique perspective and sharp wit that will be sorely missed.
He was predeceased by his mother Brenda Baerwald, niece Sasha Baerwald and nephew Jacob Westgard. He is survived by his children Kaitlin Baerwald (Brandon) and Justin Baerwald (Josilyn), new grandson Benjamin Busch, father Rod Baerwald, sisters Shelley Baerwald (Geoffrey), Shannon Hunter (Doug), Sherri Westgard (Shane) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Wheatland Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
