Obituary of Mabel Elizabeth Noseworthy

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mabel (May) Elizabeth Noseworthy on November 24 at the age of 91. She chose to depart before winter set in.

She is survived by her children, Rick Noseworthy (Jane), (predeceased grandson Dylan), Diane Dumais (predeceased Rene), George Noseworthy (Val), and Michael Noseworthy. May had 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with the gift of time allowing her to raise her children, build relationships with grandchildren and enjoy the blessings of her great-grandchildren. The highlight of her day was having family visits. Her legacy will live on for generations to come.

May was born in the City of Quebec and moved to Timmins, Ontario as a young child with her 5 siblings. This is where she spent most of her life. On most days, you could find her walking, reading or on the phone talking up a storm with family and friends. Her guilty pleasures were soap operas and romantic novels. She will be remembered for her banana cream, and lemon meringue pies. May loved the outdoors. She loved fishing, camping, and gardening. A lot of her time was spent at her trailer playing crib and other card games. She thoroughly enjoyed the games as long as she was winning. May had many challenges throughout her 9 decades of life however she persevered. She will be remembered as a loving, strong, stubborn, and courageous woman.

May was predeceased by her 2 husbands Gordon and Clarence Noseworthy and her longtime partner Clint Richard, parents Jeanette and Ben Malley, sisters Theresa Byberg and Margaret Latham, and brothers, Ronald and Roger Malley.

We will be hosting a celebration of May’s life for family and friends in the summer as this was her favorite time of year
