Obituary of Johannes (John) Wouterus Kost

February 10, 1950 - December 12, 2021

 

It is with sincere and profound sadness we announce the passing of John Kost.  John was born at Badhoevedorp, Netherlands on February 10, 1950.

 

John was a very special man in every way. He was always helpful to everyone, whether it be building decks or just volunteering his special skills wherever and whenever needed.  One of his favorite hobbies was playing guitar with MLC for the past 20 years. And although John was renowned for his ability to make the perfect pancakes, he will be remembered mostly for having the biggest and best hugs ever. 

 

John is survived by his wife Gisela; son Lukas and his wife Jade; sister Betty; his honorary son Michael and many other family and friends.  He will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

 

In lieu of flowers and in memory of John, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore) at 2:00 p.m.

 

Adherence to the Restrictions Exemption Program will be enforced.  Please be prepared to arrive early with your QR code and original personal ID. Masks must be worn at all times.
