Obituary of Susan Marie Dawn Lodge

Susan Lodge, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter, passed away peacefully at her home in Calgary, Alberta in the early hours of February 8, 2022, at the age of 56. Susan was born on June 12, 1965, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Malcolm and Gwendoline Smith. She is survived by her loving children Nicholas Smith-Carras and Cheyenne Lodge; her father Malcolm Smith; sister Nancy (Jason) Molnar; brothers Tim Smith and Blair (Christine) Smith; as well as four beautiful grandchildren, Alexander Smith, Conner Tilden-Carras, Chase Tilden-Carras, and Nova Tilden-Carras. Susan was predeceased by her mother Gwendoline Smith, we know that they are together lovingly watching over us all.

Susan moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1970 at the age of five with her family. Susan was the most loving, generous, and kind mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her kids and family, doing whatever she could for all of them. She was known for her witty and strong personality and her ability to make people feel warm and welcomed whether she knew you for years or was meeting you for the first time. In her spare time Susan loved to ski, bake, read, run, watch movies, and most of all loved music. Anywhere from AC/DC to Prince and Garth Brooks. Susan will be missed by all her friends, family, and anyone lucky enough to know her.

As per Susan’s wishes, there will be a small private viewing for her family and close friends with a celebration of life to be held in the future.
