Obituary of Constance Mae Merkel
December 13,1934 – February 11, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Connie was passionate about knitting and crocheting blankets and socks for all of her kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed her time spent with her neighbours at Sagewood, meeting for coffee and puzzle time.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jim Merkel (Sherry), Debbie Kiemeny (Dennis), Carol Jamieson, Val Seabourne (Steve), Dennis Merkel; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Art Merkel; son, Michael Merkel; daughter, Judy Merkel; and son-in-law, Lance Jamieson.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s memory, may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Strathmore Hospital.
