Obituary of Sidney Wayne Lees
July 11, 1956 – February 9, 2022
Sidney Wayne Lees of Bassano, Alberta passed away in his home on February 9, 2022 at the age of 65 years.
Born and raised in Red Deer, Sid graduated from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School to pursue his career in the trades. He was a retired journeyman welder and a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 146. He enjoyed photography as a retirement hobby.
Sid leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers, Douglas of Rimbey, Brian (Therese) of Calgary, David of Airdrie; one sister, Karen (Terry) Wheale of Winfield, AB; as well as three nephews and one niece, extended family members and friends. Sid was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Fannie Lees.
With respect to his wishes, no funeral service will be held. A graveside memorial will be held in the spring at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Winfield, to inter his ashes.
