I was so sad to hear about Robert's passing just recently. My deepest condolences go out to The whole Specht family. I went to school with Robert and always cherished his friendship and all the fun times we had at Carbon School. He always had me laughing with his dry sense of humour. He was definitely one of a kind and a sweet soul.

My deepest condolences Dan, Olive, Susan , Heather & Leonard (we never met). I am truly heart broken. Robert and I went to school in Carbon from 1976 to 1979. My parents owned the hotel in Carbon during that time. Robert and I were inseparable. We remained friends for many many years after that till we sadly lost touch about 6 yrs ago. Robert, we shared sooo many wonderful memories... skidooing, playing crib with Orville Hart (RIP), going to the Rabbit hole , swimming, bike riding with Chris Church to Drumheller, getting together when you lived in Calgary, you renting a vehicle to come to Edmonton to visit me almost every weekend . Rob, you were a true friend I will never forget you. I loved you my friend with all my heart. Thinking back to our times together helps me get through this sorrow. RIP my long time friend. These pictures I attached are not from the digital world, but old film pictures I will cherish . For my closure, I would like you to contact me so I can pay my respects. I just learned of his passing resently. Once again, my condolences

Robert was an amazing guy to be around with when i worked with him in the countroom at Casino Edmonton he was such a great baker always spoiled us with treats always made my shift very enjoyable loved his jokes he would play on me always fun hanging out with him inside and outside of work he will be deeply missed by all. RIP Robert.

I worked with Robert for a very long time at the casino. He was an amazing co-worker and friend. He always brought us so many treats, he was an amazing baker. He was also always such a happy, loving jokester. We always had so much fun together at work and outside of work! He was also there for me through many bad times and I cannot thank him enough!!My heart broke when I heard this news. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones! Fly with the angels now my dear friend!!
