Obituary of Albert Victor Johanson
January 13, 1936 – April 1, 2022
It is with deep sorrow and much love, the family of Albert Johanson announce his peaceful passing on April 1, 2022 at the Peter Lougheed Centre Emergency Unit at the age of 86 years.
Albert will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his life companion of 49 years Doris. His daughter Sonia (Gary), grandchildren Stacey (Kurt) great granddaughter Hailey. Shona (Ian) Paige, Declan, Easton. Shira (Joel) and Shelby (Mason). His son Jeffrey (Denise) grandchildren Michael and Jory. Stepdaughter Wendy (Dave) Sean and Jordan. Albert’s remaining sibling left to mourn, his brother Hugh Johanson of Calgary, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his parents Victoria and Carl, brothers Roland, Jimmy, and Carl, daughter Cheryl, and sister in-law’s Mary and Lillian.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to our families, friends, the people of Strathmore and surrounding areas who have supported us in the loss of our Father, Partner, and all those who had the opportunity to call Albert a friend.
We invite you to join us for a Celebration of his life at the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion, 230-2nd Avenue, Strathmore on May 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so, may make a Memorial Donation in Albert’s memory to the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion, 230-2nd Avenue, Strathmore, Alberta T1P 1K1.
