Obituary of Nelson Stratichuk

With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of Nelson Stratichuk on May 8th, 2022. Born on June 22, 1938, in Willingdon, Alberta. Nelson grew up farming near Andrew, AB.

Nelson was predeceased by his wife, Elena “Helen” Stratichuk (Nee Dawda) in 2021. He will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Wesley (Hepburne), Karen (Glen), Tom (Brenda), and Charlene Howes. Nelson had 8 grandchildren, Bradley, Amy, Kellie-Anne, Jennifer, Kyle, Derek, Matthew, and Sydney, along with 2 great grandchildren, Savannah and Scarlett. Nelson was predeceased by his parents Tom and Maritsa (Mary) Stratichuk; half-brother Michael Strate; three brothers, George (Doreen), John (Joyce), William ‘Bill’ (Jo) Stratichuk and one sister Ann Kozak. Left to mourn him is his sister Mable (Archie) Grenke.

The family would like to thank Amy Lissel and the Strathmore Hospital for the support. 

At Nelson’s request, there will be no service held.
