Obituary of Suzanne Mikola

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Suzanne Mikola, resident of Strathmore, passed away peacefully at Strathmore Hospital with her beloved husband, David Mikola by her side. Suzanne lost her brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Suzanne was predeceased by her son, Mark; parents, Jean and Douglas Norn; and brother, Steven.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Lindsay (Rob) Stewart and their two children, Aiden and Brody; brother, Mike; niece, Jessica; nephews, Michael and Jacob; she will be dearly missed by her father-in-law, Ludvik; mother-in-law, Pela; and sister-in-law, Diane; as well as her stepson, Matthew (Sherine) and their four children, Noah, Ava, Olivia and Jada; stepdaughter, Sarah; as well as other extended family and many friends.

Suzanne and David moved to Alberta from Ontario in 2004 where she worked as a bookkeeper and built a beautiful life together, only to be cut short by cancer.

The love and memories we have of Suzanne will be forever branded in our hearts.

We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at both the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Strathmore Hospital as well as her caregiver, Linda Gates for their amazing care and kindness. As well, a special thanks to Al and Carol for their love and support.

 

Words cannot begin to express how much Suzanne will be missed.

“She was my rock”.

 

Suzanne’s wish was to be cremated and no formal funeral service be held.

Remember me in quiet days

while raindrops whisper on your pane.
