Marilyn Kadlec

Obituary of Marilyn Jane Kadlec

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Marilyn Kadlec.

Marilyn is survived by and will dearly missed by her children, Brenda & Jeff, and her grandchildren, Nolan & Payton. She was predeceased by her parents Shirley and Albert Bainbridge, husband Alex Kadlec and her brother Ron Bainbridge.

Marilyn was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where she also met her husband, Alex, and started her career as a lab technician with Canada Malting, which she retired from in 2010 as a senior lab technician. Her career brought her and Alex to Alberta in the mid 70s where they put down roots and started their family in Strathmore.

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose heart was filled with kindness and compassion for all, family always came first. When she wasn't busy with work or the kids, you could always find her out in the yard tending to her flower gardens, which she always took great pride in.

Marilyn also enjoyed traveling with her family. Summers were always filled with adventure, road trips, train rides to Ontario to visit extended family and adventures down the pacific coast to California, as San Francisco always captured her heart. She always made sure beautiful memories were made together, memories that will forever be cherished.

Mom, you and the love you always gave will be greatly missed by all that knew you.

At Marilyn’s request, there will be no funeral service.
