Obituary of Eva Shulhan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Shulhan (nee Daneliuk) on October 10, 2022, at 94 years of age, in Strathmore, Alberta.

Eva was predeceased by her husband Emil (2005), daughter Zoria (1997), 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and parents.

 

Eva was born in Yellow Creek, SK on October 22, 1927, to the late Sam Daneliuk and Elena Komar (nee Kucher). Eva married Emil Shulhan on July 15, 1945, in Tway, SK. They resided and raised their family on Emil’s family homestead. Eva was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Eva had always made sure when a visitor stopped in that they never left hungry. She will always be remembered through the family traditions she has passed on to us. Eva will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  

 

Left to mourn her passing are her children and their families. 

Dennis (Francis) Shulhan, and their children Damien Shulhan, Denae (Jason) Ford, Dorian Shulhan (Justine Clayton), Dustin (Naomi) Shulhan.

Denise (Larry) Stirling, and their children Tara (Joey) Mordy, and Daryl Ann (Rob) Musselman. 

Children of the beloved Zoria Nichol, Lana Dann, and Kent Nichol. 

13 great grandchildren Brianna, Shyan, Jaden, Isaak, Tamzyn, Alivia, Evita, Allie, Luke, Bohden, Kamden, Kaydence, Sterling and 1 great great grandchild Raelynn.

Sister in-laws Iris (Ed) Disiewich, Victoria Shulhan, brother in-law, Victor Shulhan and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

The family would like to thank all the Strathmore Homecare staff who came everyday to help, Dr. Abercrombie who cared for Eva the past couple years, and all the nurses, doctors, and staff of Strathmore Hospital who made her last day as comfortable as possible. 

 

A service will be held on October 22, 2022 @ 11:00 am at Church of Sts. Peter and Paul (Ukrainian) in Tway, Sask.
