Obituary of Nola Ann Sanderson

It is with profound sadness that the family of Nola Ann Sanderson announce her peaceful passing on November 13, 2022, just a few days shy of her 83rd birthday.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cecilia (Ronnie) Roberts and Belinda (Shane) Armstrong; grandchildren, Maddy (Nathan) Plewis, Jesse Roberts, and Aaron (Caroline) Armstrong; great grandchildren, Kingston, Joshua, Nathan, and Nolan; and brothers and sisters, Linda (Ken) Lesperance, Dwight (Linda) Feser, Ed (Joan) Feser, and Wendy (Larry) Feser.

Nola’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.  From Feser family reunions to shoe shopping with her granddaughter, or playing cards with her grandson, it didn’t much matter what it was, as long as it was done with family.  Nola also had a great love of dance and music.  In her younger years she was a dance instructor out of Drumheller, AB at “Nola’s School of Dance”.  Throughout her life, many will remember her with the radio always playing in the background, usually to the tune of Elvis or Tina Turner.  She was also a true Calgary Flames fan, family and friends knew not to call her when the Flames were on TV.

A Celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2023 for family and friends.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff at AgeCare Skypointe.

In lieu of flowers, Nola wished for donations to be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital (online at childrenshospital.ab.ca).
