Obituary of Christopher Joseph McGuire

Christopher McGuire passed away suddenly on February 17, 2023. 

Chris is survived by his loving wife Amber McGuire, and his three young children Kacey Lyn Chevy McGuire, Cole Harvey Edward McGuire, and Kylie Jean Mary McGuire. His mother Jennifer McGuire, siblings Korie (Allison & nephew Emmett), Curtis (niece Izabella), Alexander, Gerry, Gordon, Terry, Brittany (Jayla, Kayde, Nora), Tammy, Cheryl, Kim, and their families. 

Chris was predeceased by Father Lawrence Edward Thompson, Stepfather Joseph Gerald Lafferty and Grandparents, Hyland and Rothnie Thompson and Frank and Nancy McGuire

Chris was a loving and dedicated father, husband, and friend. Chris had an unparalleled work ethic, working long hours to support his family. Despite the long hours he often worked, he was always ready with a generous smile, a welcoming laugh, and a helping hand. He was the first to show up when any family member or friend needed anything. Chris believed the best of everyone and had faith that good things would happen for the people around him. When asked how the family would get through tough times, Chris would often respond “Pennies from heaven”. Chris had a talent for fixing broken things -- from cars to skinned knees -- and this talent will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

The warmth and love he brought into every aspect of his life will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Strathmore Civic Centre between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.
