Obituary of Gregory Jon Ariss
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Greg Ariss on March 5, 2023 at the age of 80 years.
Greg was born to Harold and Norma Ariss on July 11, 1942 in Kitchener, Ontario. Greg was the second of eight children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan Ariss; children April Crumley (Darcy), Greg Ariss (Zora), Carrie Ariss (Ron), and Lonnie Ariss (Eric); grandchildren Danielle Crumley, Dustin Crumley (Nadia), Ty Ariss (Morgan), Courtney Lagimodiere (Camille), Charlotte Billingsley, Maria Billingsley, Clara Billingsley, and Sylas Sanderson; great-grandchildren Mya, Jacob, Riley, Evangelynn, Tate, Aria, Hope, and Lynk; siblings Colleen Gies (Jim), Penni Turner (Malcolm), Ted Ariss (Carol), Dan Ariss (Doug), and Phil Ariss (Sandra); brother-in-law Gerry Neufeld; and sister-in-law Lynn Ariss. Greg was predeceased by his parents Harold and Norma and by his siblings Marlene Neufeld and Randy Ariss.
Our family would like to express our deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and prayers during this time. A special thank you to Dr. Sader and the caregivers at Sagewood Care Center for their compassionate care provided during Greg’s final days.
A private celebration will be held at a later date.
