Obituary of Gail Edna Charlotte Daw

May 1, 1949 – March 14, 2023

Gail Daw passed away at the Foothills Hospital due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. 

She is survived by her beloved husband Terry, her children Cindy and Steven, her granddaughter Inara, sister-in-law Diane and brother-in-law Tom.  She is also survived by her cherished friends that became family, Janice and Spencer Sumner.  Gail was a city girl who spent 33 years working on the farm while also working at the school.  Whether it was gardening, goat milking, or running a combine, she got it all done.  Gail spent many years working with children and serving her community.  She volunteered with several different organizations and was always there to help when things needed doing.  Gail welcomed everyone into her home, with love. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for support for the Parkinson Association of Alberta (www.parkinsonassociation.ca) or Operation Smile (www.secureoperationsmile.ca) so Gail’s memory can give hope to others. 

A funeral service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Strathmore United Church at 1:00 p.m.
