Obituary of Alice Viola Nichol
The family would like to announce with Sadness & Love the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother & great grandmother Alice Viola Nichol. Alice passed away peacefully on April 08, 2023 in Strathmore, Alberta.
Alice was brought into this world during the dirty thirties on July 20, 1932 and left this world at the end of a pandemic at the age of 90.
Alice had some challenges throughout her 90 years of life but with believing it’s just life and you need to make the best of it!
Alice loved life! She was happy, great smile, warm heart, hard worker, always grateful & thankful, she enjoyed, camping, boating, socializing, dancing, celebrations, holidays, visiting over a glass a wine or two, she loved playing cards and her favourite game hand & foot canasta and believing in her faith.
Alice favourite sayings were "Yahoo", "Woo-hoo" and she would always say "I’m A-1"! Over the years she was known to many of us as A-1.
Alice lifetime passions was her family. She cherished 52 years of marriage with her husband Percy. She loved being mom, grandma & GiGi and spending time her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dear friend Howard and with her extended family & friends..Welcoming Alice into heaven is her husband Percy, beautiful granddaughter Dawn, her mother & father, Nellie & Gordon, Her siblings, Cecil, Stan, Harold, Bailey, Audrey, her dear friend Howard and extended family & friends.
Alice/A1 Leaves to cherish her memory, to her children Don (Fawn), Deidrie (Doug) and Raelene (Jeff), her beautiful 18 grandchildren Dustin (Nadene), Danelle (Ron),Shawn (Shannon), Deanne (James), Chelcie (Zach), Greig (Flo),Colby (Jasmine), Amanda(Nate), Whitney (Devon), 13 precious great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.
Alice/A-1 left us all so many cute & wonderful heartfelt memories to always cherish and Her legacy will be forever in our hearts!
The families would like to thank everyone at the Sagewood & Wheatland Lodge and to all the wonderful caregivers on the Namaka & Eagle Lake neighborhoods. We really appreciate all the excellent care, compassion, dignity and for all of the support you have given to Alice over the years. Her families will be forever thankful!
