Obituary of Josephine Mary Brigan
It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of Jo-Mari Brigan on April 8, 2023, at the age of 80 years.
Jo-Mari was born in Calgary. After finishing high school in Beiseker, she pursued a diploma at Mount Royal College and a degree at University of Calgary. She worked at a law firm for a number of years followed by Gloria & Co., Thorlakson Feed Lot and last worked for Agriculture Financial Services Corp. in Airdrie.
Jo-Mari is survived by her brothers: Joe (Linda) Brigan, Jim (Laurie) Brigan, and John (Karen) Brigan, several nieces and nephews: Darcy (Ruby and daughter, Sarah), David (Cody Byman), Joline (Shaun, daughter, Taya and son, Kane) Wagstaff, Janine (son - Kai,) Brigan, Rex Brigan, and Kelly (son Ayden) Brigan (Ft. Worth TX).
Jo-Mari was predeceased by her parents (Joe and Lilly).
Prior to suffering a devastating stroke in 2006, Jo-Mari lived at the family farm near Airdrie. She enjoyed animals and, in particular; had a passion for white Persian cats.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Agecare Sagewood Seniors Care Home (Strathmore) as well as Covenant Care (Calgary) and Bethany Care (Airdrie) for the care she received.
Cremation took place Friday April 14th, 2023, at Wheatland Funeral Home – Strathmore. A private service will be held at a later date.
