Obituary of Lothar Erwin Ruoi Radtke
Lothar Radtke of Strathmore, formerly of Okotoks and Airdrie, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023, at the age of 92 years.
Lothar was born in Koenigsberg, Germany on December 13, 1930, and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Lothar began his career with Trans Alta Utilities as an Apprentice Lineman in Calgary, then 1955 to Airdrie as Assistant District Manager, in 1962, he was transferred to Okotoks as District Manager, where he remained for 18 years. In 1980, he moved to Strathmore to become District Manager until his retirement in 1992.
Lothar was predeceased by his wife, Gladys, his parents August and Meta and his sister, Helga Radtke of Germany.
Lothar is survived by his partner of 20 years, Valerie. As well as many cousins in Germany.
As per his wished, there will be no funeral service, but friends wanting to commemorate his life, are asked to donate to a charity of their choice.
